Who can benefit from acupuncture?

Everyone can benefit from acupuncture! Not only is it helpful in the treatment of acute injury, it is also a great treatment for overall mental and physical wellbeing. The goal of each session is to identify each client’s unique patterns and customize a treatment plan for their needs.

Acupuncture is a great addition to a self care plan. If you are someone who has been experiencing increased stress that has left you feeling fatigued and not youself, an acupuncture treatment is a great way to re-centre and bring your body and mind back to a more balanced state.

Since the Elk Valley is such an active community, many people come to the clinic for treatment of acute injury. To treat injury, needles are inserted both at the site of injury and strategic points distal to the area. The insertion of needles encourages the healing process by reducing inflammation, releasing constricted muscles and promoting circulation.

Acupuncture has far reaching benefits for a number of conditions that affect both body and mind. If you have any inquiries about how acupuncture might help you, reach out to Becca and she will be happy to answer any questions.

Becca Thomas, REGISTERED ACUPUNCTURIST

Hi and welcome! I am so passionate about sharing my knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) through acupuncture treatments. After many years working in the tourism and hospitality industry here in Fernie, I yearned for a career that felt aligned and purposeful. From my first moments in the classroom learning foundations of Chinese Medicine I knew I found my calling.

Acupuncture has so many applications and I am constantly in awe of its ability to improve the well being of my patients. I am grateful for the opportunity to offer treatments to residents and visitors of the Elk Valley.
